Sorry that it has taken me awhile to post; I have been recovering from last semester. I hope that everyone had a good christmas and a happy new year! This post will be short in text as my update will be through pictures (I have too much to even begin to write it all) and nothing of much consequence has happened lately. I have started a new semester and it looks like it is going to be a fun one! I like most of my classes, I adore my roommates, and I love my job. Why, it could be a perfect world if a little thing called money wasn't an object. I spent about $300 just on books this semester. *sigh* oh well...
So here is the quick pictural update, beginning right before Christmas Break.
Well, ok, I take that back. This picture was taken around November. Over the course of last semester, my roommates and I found, caught and killed ten mice in our apartment. Luckily there has been no sign of any mice in our apartment this semester. This particular mouse was found--which means a lot of screaming--by Kate, my roommate, in our room, just crawling around on the floor. Since it was a baby mouse(we have discovered that baby mice are quite stupid and don't know to run from people) I was able to take a picture and then catch it.
Five or six of my friends got married during December/beginning of January. Wierd!
We(our apartment and apartment 1) threw a bachelorette party for one of them, Dany, a couple of weeks before Christmas break. It was a lot of fun. We had virgin drinks, talked, played with candy and had an absolutely fabulous time embarrassing Dany.
Here is the "playing with candy" part.
My masterpiece. I made it entirely out of skittles (and a couple of M & Ms).
I had a lot of fun helping out with Kara and Brad's wedding. It really was a beautiful wedding and reception.
Over the break I finally got the pictures of Amanda and John I have been trying to get for months now.
John cut his hair!!!! He cut it(Amanda and I cut it actually) on Christmas Eve so that he wouldn't be as depressed the next day. Doesn't he look amazing?
Anyway, I had better be going. I have some homework that I still have to do. I'll write as soon as I have have something exciting/worthy to report.
I had a great 2007 and I am looking forward to another great year in 2008! Love you all!
I like your "catchy" title for this posting :)- as for me -I;m always playing catch up it seems.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got rid of the mice - Did you catch them and sell them to the biology dept ? I liked 'Gus Gus' the fat little mouse in Cinderella. but that was partly because of the hat he wore :) and he was in the movie not in my abode.
It's fun to see your photos including your 'taste a rainbow".
Hope you have some challenging class projects in this new semester of this new year !
xoxo

ReplyDeleteoh my goodness I love this! I adore those pictures, and I am so glad you finally got to cut John's hair!! I bet that was so fun...how many inches were chopped? haha well keep on updating cause you know I am your biggest fan!
ReplyDeleteYour family is all so adorable, and your photos are very attractive...is your roommate getting married? You should send that photo of you and Sidnee (did I spell her name right?) to you-know-who because it is a very cute picture.
ReplyDeletePoor little mouse.
ReplyDeleteI loved the update.
Great photos.
It feels like you have been gone for months!
Loved the pictures Sam! You are a lot braver than me when it comes to the mice. I am the one screaming on the chair asking my boys or someone to get it! Luckily, since we now have two cats, I haven't seen a mouse and I hope to keep it that way! Well, look forward to reading more of your amazing writing! I would love to hear about the Colin Ray concert from your point of view too--I read your mother's blog today as well! Anyway, good luck this semester! You are awesome! Aunt Michelle
ReplyDeleteI love your pics of the fam. And the pic of you in front of the skittles is so cute! Just cuz your friends are gettin married doesn't mean you need to feel like the clock is tickin'--everything on your own time table I hope. love ya!
