Anyways, quick update. School has been going good, INSANELY busy, but good. I am in the pit orchestra for the school musical, "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." (One of the longest titles ever! We call it How to Succeed.) The show opened last night and it is running tonight, tomorrow, and next week.
It has been a lot of fun and I enjoy it--mostly. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were kind of crazy, and sucked a lot of the fun out of the play for awhile. We had dress rehearsals those days, from 5 or 6pm to (at the earliest) midnight. So, that wasn't that much fun, but I think I got over it.
Well, that is the summary of my life at the moment. Now I need to go and get some homework done before the show tonight. I'll write more later!

Wow! Sounds like a great but crazy week! I haven't heard of this play, so I'll have to look it up. I think it's so great you are getting to play in the orchestra! What a talented young lady you are! We look forward to seeing you during the holidays! Keep writing too, you're terrific!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool that you are doing the musical! the orchestra is one of my very favorite things about seeing plays, I like to wave to the people down in that sweaty pit and give them the thumbs up sign and wink at them... I bet you find that insanely annoying! You'll be great! I only wish I could see it! love ya!

Keep up the music making and the writing - you are really good at both!
I know it takes a lot of balancing time etc. to work on a musical and still do all the class work required to keep up scholastically. You gotta stay healthy - so take your vitamins-XOXO
